GDPR and website legality.

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensure that your website operates within legal frameworks, we want to bring to your attention to the significant updates related to Google Consent Mode and the latest European Union General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR) laws. These changes necessitate action on your part to maintain compliance and continue benefiting from Analytics and AdWords reporting.

Understanding Google Consent Mode and EU GDPR Updates

Google Consent Mode is a framework that allows website owners to adjust how Google services operate on their site based on the consent status of your users. This adjustment is crucial in light of the EU GDPR, which mandates strict user consent requirements regarding collecting and processing personal data.

The EU’s enhanced privacy laws require explicit user consent before deploying cookies that track user behavior for analytics and advertising purposes. It means that your website must be equipped to request, obtain, and manage user consents effectively to continue utilizing Google Analytics and AdWords without interrupting your insight and advertising capabilities.

Compliance Solution: Introducing Cookiebot

To facilitate compliance with these requirements, we recommend integrating Cookiebot, a leading consent management platform. Cookiebot provides an automated solution that ensures your website’s use of cookies and online tracking complies with GDPR and ePrivacy Directive (ePR).
